At the beginning of the nineties, this habit spread with a frenzied popularity and groups of friends started to organize themselves in order to compete under given rules.
Esteban Baglietto, Alfredo Scarpatti, Santiago Pedro Sana and brothers Juan Antonio and Teodoro Farenga shared the game, the friendship and their belonging to the Xeniexe neighborhood (Genoese) of “La Boca del Riachuelo”, mostly inhabited by Italian immigrants from Genoa. On a certain day, they decided they should get together with some of their friends to define their most important issue and they met at Baglietto’s home, but unexpected visitors forced them to change their meeting place and they chose the part in front. Therefore, on a bench of the Solis Square, on April 3 1905, the five friends together with some other young men, signed the foundation instrument of the new football Club |
